Sawyer Shop

Our process begins with importation of raw block from local mines. This is cut into slabs using diamond tipped Primary cutting saws. These slabs are then cut to the desired dimensions using a range of secondary cutting saws.

If needed this stone is then ready to be worked by the banker masons.

Range work and Ashlar is also produced using Italian Terzago saws.

Carving / Banker Shop

Stone worked by our highly skilled and experienced craftsmen is of the best standard possible. Specialists in their respective fields, using modern & traditional masonry methods. Our craftsmen take pride in their work; producing the highest quality masonry.

Supply & Fix

We also offer a fixing service and have carried out numerous prestigious fixing jobs throughout bath.

We are able to work projects through from initial concept, design, quantity survey, technical CAD drawing, manufacture, package, wrap, delivery through to final fix.

Stokes Masonry was established in 1978 and has since completed numerous prestigious contracts throughout Bath, the South West and London.

A sound business practice and a program of capital investment has resulted in a steady and purposeful growth, now the largest Stone Masonry Company in Bath we have a wealth of knowledge, skills and personnel to tackle any project.

We have a very close relationship with the mines in Bath area and are in regular communication with them. This enables us to keep our lead time of Raw material to a minimum and ensures we always have a stock of top quality Bath Stone.

The yard was designed to allow us to cut and work stone ensuring we have the shortest possible lead times whilst maintaining our quality and accuracy. Over the years this design has evolved to allow us to cut larger quantities whilst still keeping our lead times down. We pride ourselves on our yard team and the abilities they have.

We supply & fix natural Bath Stone to the highest specification. In addition to the supply & fix contracts the company also offers a supply only service to other masonry & building contractors.
